All this in plain English
It is somewhat unfortunate that we need to add legal disclaimers and
other legal documents to what is a simple website, but it must be done.
For our own explanation, as well as for those who are not as well versed
in the intricacies of the legal world, we have attempted to explain
this section in "plain English".
The main messages in this section are:
- We respect your privacy and security and as such will make sure we
protect it accordingly. Our business is based on trust and your
confidentiality is a vital component of that.
- The disclaimer outlines the accuracy and completeness of information
and points out that our website aims to be totally accurate, but may,
from time to time, show incorrect or inaccurate information. We are
human after all!
- We live in a time where email is becoming the most used form of
communication. It can, however, never replace face to face conversation
for a variety of reasons. It is therefore important to recognize that
emails can and do get taken out of context, and can be misleading. To
this end, we drafted an email disclaimer. As always, we do urge direct
communication.
- The promotion of access to information offers transparency for you
to gain further insight into our business. However, transparency is one
of our core values and so we encourage any questions you may have.

However, RE:CM shall not be responsible for and therefore disclaims

expense of any nature whatsoever which may be suffered as a result of or
which may be attributable, directly or indirectly, to the use of or
reliance upon any information, links or service provided through this

There is no warranty of any kind, expressed or implied, regarding
the information or any aspect of this service. Any warranty implied by
law is hereby excluded except to the extent that such exclusion would be
unlawful.

Promotion of access to information
The Promotion of Access to Information Act, 2 of 2000 gives persons
the right of access to information that is required for the exercise or
protection of any rights. In order for access to information to be
granted, certain requirements have to be met. The Act also requires
private bodies such as RE:CM to compile a manual, designed to assist
people who want to exercise their right of access to information.
